Convention 2013 [09.07.2013]
More than 50 dealers came from Germany and all over Europe, to attend the Westfalia Convention in Rheda Wiedenbrück this week. Mike Reuer, Westfalia's general director, profited of this occasion to welcome and exchange with all the participants. Highlight of these days was the presentation of the new models.
The increasing number of participants was, in the the sales director's opinion - Götz Rutenkolk, the proof of Westfalia's success. With a plus of more than 20 percents, the sales are confirming this trend. Those two signs showed that Westfalia is definitly proposing the right vehicules to its customers. Despite a diffcult situation, the sales offensive also with the Club Joker based on T5 from Volkswagen, allowed a strong growth.
This positive trend gave the opportunity to Mike Reuer to deny the rumors of Westfalia launching semi-integrated and integrated models:"We possess a strong Know-how, that consists in the transformation and preparation of van vehicules. Westafalia is without a doubt a trendsetter in this category. In the coming years, to propose the best adapted models to our customers, our news models will continue to be based on these competences."
By presenting the new version of the Admunsen, Thomas Siegert in charge of the development department, emphasized Mr. Reuer's words. This vehicule will be proposed at a price of 42.390 Euro in Germany in its 600D version, with a double bed at the rear. The Amunsden will be the most accessible product in Westfalia's range of products. However the Amundsen will keep the "DNA" of Westfalia: innovation and quality.
The new Amundsen will be assembled in Wiedenbrück and will exist in two different versions. The 600D with the rear double bed and the 640E with two single beds.
Additonaly the convention permited to present some new features and ameliorations in the Colombus and Club Joker. More details about all the models will follow in the coming weeks. Enjoy the picture of the event.
